A happy overnight visit:
Yesterday, Sunday November 18, when I
booked into Deng Yun Hotel, using my
HK ID card and CAS card,
staff kindly gave me a 10% discount because CAS had used hotel for a function
not long ago.
Then at church, 24 people attended...including four people for the very first
time,
one of the four being the city's chief finance minister, and another being a DJ
at local radio station
....both of them keenly staying behind for long chat to plan future English
classes to follow monthly Sunday Mass
This morning, Monday 19, at Deqing
Shiyan Government Primary School
(across road from hospital/church):
one class of P5 , one of P4, one of P3 - each with 60 students
Then...after checking email at
internet shop + a canteen lunch....I was walking back to hotel to get second bag
left there
(one bag for church, one for school)...mentally preparing for bone-racking
two hour ride back to Zhaoqing in mini-bus
....when...just before hotel...what do I see...but a big coach with "Zhaoqing
City" on it
...so I had a peep...and who was inside ....some 40 Deqing students getting
ready to return to CAS after the long week-end break
....it was the CAS hired coach...with a few spare seats, including one free one
for myself.
Must remember in future...it leaves from just near hotel just after 1pm
every second Monday
....including my next scheduled visit to Deqing Dec 23/24 DV
